Mark Hlady – President
Mark has been involved in social finance since 2009 and founded Finance for Good in 2012. Prior to founding Finance for Good Mark was a consultant at McKinsey & Company where he specialized in innovation generation. Mark’s projects often involved creating new partnerships and communication channels between research teams and the broader organization in which they interacted. Mark has worked with Canada’s largest companies and provincial governments. Prior to joining McKinsey, Mark received a B.Sc. in Engineering from the University of Alberta, where he was a Peter Lougheed Scholarship recipient.
Mathew Burpee, CA – Chief Financial Officer
Mathew brings knowledge of finance, taxation, and project management from his background in the Assurance Practice at Ernst & Young LLP. He has managed large cross-sectional teams completing financial statement audits with a particular focus on the valuation of complex assets. He has also provided financial and accounting advisory services to large multinational corporations, primarily in the context of corporate acquisitions. Prior to becoming a CA at Ernst & Young, Mathew earned a Bachelor of Commerce from Carleton University and was named a UFE Gold Medallist, for achieving the highest score on the Chartered Accountancy Uniform Final Exam in Western Canada.
Justin Bertagnolli – Vice President, Program Development
Justin contributes his proven project management ability and international consulting experience to lead program development at Finance for Good. Justin has refined his skill set through work in the Alberta Health Service and most recently at Ready Engineering. Justin earned a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Alberta where he was honored to be Canada’s International Relations Commission as part of the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students.
Jessica Leung – Vice President, Public Relations
Jessica brings public relations and marketing expertise to the team from her background at Proctor & Gamble. At P&G she led the development and execution of a marketing campaign for a portfolio of major household brands worth over $320 million in retail sales. She is distinguished among her peers and recently won the Global P&G-Facebook Innovation Award, for leading best-in-class digital execution using social media; Olay Canada (2011). Prior to joining P&G Jessica was a co-founder of JDW West. Jessica earned her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta, where she was a Lou Hyndman Leadership Scholarship Recipient (the highest University of Alberta award for leadership).
